Tungsten metal is used in many different alloys, these include steel alloys but is most popular for being alloyed with carbon to make Tungsten Carbide which is one of the strongest known metals with a high melting point. Did you know that over 60% of Tungsten used in the U.S. is used to make Tungsten Carbide?

Tungsten carbides largest use is for fabricating cutting tools such as inserts and end mills, these tools are used in machine shops around the world to fabricate metal products, since carbide is harder than most other metals it easily cuts into the metal carving and shaping it into what ever product you want much as a wood carver can shape a block of wood into a wooden horse or anything similar. In the machining process mathematical inputs are inserted into a CNC Lathe or similar machine that then used those inputs to cut and fabricate products such as bolts, aircraft parts, medical implants and so on.
